FuelCardInfo.com Editorial Policy
FuelCardInfo.com editorial standards for factual, source-backed truck fuel card content — covering independence, sourcing, corrections and what we do not publish.
Independence
Editorial content is not influenced by fuel card providers, truck stop networks, factoring companies or any commercial partner. We do not accept payment for profile placement, guide mentions or glossary entries. Provider profiles are included or excluded based on whether sufficient public documentation exists to build an accurate, source-backed profile — not on any commercial relationship.
Sourcing Standards
- Provider-specific claims (fees, discount types, networks, IFTA features, card controls) must be tied to a specific public source.
- When a current public source cannot be found for a field, the field is labeled "Not clearly published" rather than estimated.
- General industry explanations (what a term means, how a discount model works) do not require per-provider sourcing but must be consistent with how providers and regulators use those terms.
- We do not use anonymous forum posts, aggregator sites or user-generated reviews as primary sources for factual fee or program claims.
What We Do Not Publish
- Paid rankings — We do not sell or offer placement in ranked lists. We do not publish ranked comparisons of providers.
- Fabricated feedback — We do not publish fabricated user experiences, testimonials, or composite quotes presented as real user input.
- Unsupported fee claims — We do not publish specific fee figures that cannot be traced to a current public source.
- Expert credentials we do not hold — We do not label content as CDL advice, fleet-management consulting, financial advice, legal advice or tax advice.
- No fake review schema — We do not use structured data review markup to imply user or expert reviews that do not exist on this site.
Corrections
Correction requests are reviewed against the public source cited. If a provider, reader or fleet operator identifies a field that is outdated or inaccurate and can provide a current public source, we update the field and revise the source record. We do not remove accurate information from profiles because a provider objects to its presence. See our Corrections page for how to submit.
Updates and Accuracy Over Time
Fuel card fees, networks and program terms change. We check profiles periodically and display a last-checked date. When a term can no longer be confirmed from a current public source, it is relabeled "Not clearly published" rather than left as stale data. Readers who notice outdated information are encouraged to submit a correction.
Scope
FuelCardInfo.com covers fuel card programs available to U.S. commercial trucking businesses, primarily owner-operators, small fleets and new authorities. We do not cover consumer fuel cards, fleet cards intended for non-trucking industries, or fuel programs primarily serving markets outside the United States.
